Layne Grey (she/her/hers)

Layne graduated from the University of Toronto in 2019 with an Honours Bachelor of Arts, her degree focused on International Development and Public Policy.

 

During her undergraduate studies, Layne volunteered with a student-led non-profit that focused on alleviating poverty and promoting women’s rights. During her 3-year term with the non-profit, she contributed to organizing initiatives that raised awareness about issues effecting women and girls in developing countries. She was the first Executive Director to host an event that focused primarily on the food (in)security of Indigenous people in Ontario, which generated dialog and discussions about potential solutions.

 

Layne currently works as a Client Advisor for RBC. In addition to her role, she is a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Champion, a Digital Champion and RBC Learning Influencer.

 

Although Layne’s career journey has just begun, she aspires to find ways to have her professional career align with her passion for social justice as she navigates future roles.
