Jessica Gemmell

With more than 20 years of experience primarily focused on Procurement, including her time as an Art Buyer for small, woman-owned art galleries, to managing IT Category Procurement for a global reinsurance company, among others, Jessica brings a tactile diversity of experience to her role as Supplier Diversity Program Lead for BD. While thriving on the relationships she’s built between customers and suppliers over the years and her passion for equity, inclusion and diversity, Jessica has also proven effective program implementation and management reaps success; in Jessica’s 8+ years leading the program, they have maintained year-over-year growth in spend with diverse businesses, and dramatically increased small business utilization.

Jessica is highly active in Diversity & Inclusion efforts within BD and, having served in leadership roles with multiple Associate Resource Groups, continues to advocate strongly for higher diversity, inclusion, and belonging awareness internally. Engaging with and volunteering for committee work with multiple advocacy organizations, Jessica works to also advocate strongly for higher diversity awareness within the communities BD serves.
